nothing more than boring gossip so far, but i have no doubt this will prove fruitful in time.

firstly, i am serving in their courts as a skald.
second, i've made an agreement to take one of the rulers' place from time to time. in their guise, acting as if i were them.

not that i can tell. i doubt they want the other court leaders to realize our trick. i've offered a small kindness in return, to make sure they are portrayed fairly in my telling.

I have been considering trying to earn my way into some sort of advisory position with my knowledge of the multiverse and past protecting of realities.

Perhaps it's not necessary anymore.

don't give up your ambitions just yet.
there's always the possibility that i myself am being tricked. and with how many of them there are, it wouldn't hurt for us to have another pair of eyes inside the court as well

Too many of us start climbing the social ladder too quickly and they'll think we're up to something.

I'll keep it in mind though. It's a plan worth keeping.

i agree still that we should be patient. if an opportunity presents itself, though, you should take it.

they orchestrated our dance for their amusement. they know better than anyone that those were not your true feelings, and your reaction afterwards made that clear as well.
